Adriana Varejão born in Rio de Janeiro, 1964. Lives and works in no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil.

Having made her first visit to Portugal with an individual exhibition in 1988 in the Lisbon City Museum, Adriana Varejão, a Brazilian artist whose unique artistic course came to light at the end of the eighties in her own country, then became an obligatory reference in emerging international art in the following decade due to the powerful quality of her work. Adriana Varejão is here granting us the excellent opportunity to see her most recent work at the Pedro Oliveira Gallery in Oporto, in this her second individual exhibition in Portugal.
