With an exhibition in the Roma e Pavia Gallery in Oporto, at the end
of the 80's he begins, a cycle of installations which have continued
until today, and make up a work in progress. These works, which use
such poor materials as indian ink drawings on paper, are structured
according to previous architectures or constructions which emphasise
the multiplication of the dynamic planes of framing. In this decade
he has exhibited paintings which complement these installations, aiming
at serialising the "plurality of the subject", and permanently responding
to questions in the artistic field (current ones or uncurrent ones),
to which he cannot remain passive. As it is known that he is also engaged
in a literary activity which is beginning to be published, his works
should be seen as a coming-and-going within this controversial space
which confronts images with words, either as "allegorical appearances"
or as "narrative possibilities".
